Job Title: React Developer

Location: Remote and must work PST

Duration: 3 months with potential to extend long term

Project Scope

This resource will be working to turn a prototype into a functioning tool which’ll be used by teams all over the organization. This is a very public and important project that could save a lot of money. The tool being developed will be taking data from multiple sources and using it to inform decision makers so that they in turn can make important decisions for the teams that they are responsible for.

• Serving as a core member of an agile team that drives user story analysis and elaboration, designs and develops responsive web applications using JavaScript with strong emphasis on React
• React Developer will be building reusable cross platform components and front-end libraries for future use
• Performing hands-on software development, typically spending 50-60% of time writing code and unit tests, doing proof of concepts, conducting code reviews, and testing in ongoing sprints
• Performing ongoing refactoring of code, utilizing visualization and other techniques to fast-track concepts, and delivering continuous improvement
• Developing deep understanding of integrations with other systems and platforms within the supported domains
• As a React Developer, you will bring a culture of innovation, ideas, and continuous improvement
• Challenging status quo, demonstrate risk taking, and implement creative ideas
• Manage your own time and work well both independently and as part of a team
• Work closely with product managers, back-end, and other front-end engineers to implement versatile solutions to tricky web development problems
• Finalizing HTML prototypes into Web Applications by integrating with back-end services and functionality
• Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Drive automation and ensure automated test scripts are completed for new features in partnership with QA Engineers

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or 5+ years of equivalent experience in related disciplines
• Experience working in high-performing development teams using agile methodologies and tools
• Experience in most of the following: React, Redux, Vue, Angular, JavaScript (ES6+), Typescript, HTML 5, CSS, jQuery, JEST
• Experience integrating applications using native API’s to tools like ServiceNow, Jira, Slack and NetBox
• Experience writing adaptive and responsive UI applications
• Experience in a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns
• Hands on experience with performance testing and tuning applications.
• Understanding of reactive and functional programming
• Demonstrated technical capabilities and ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a range of stakeholders
• Attention to detail and strong organization skills
• Good attitude, willingness to learn and collaborate

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
